Publishing in the Context of Artistic Research – A Bookish Table Talk

A side event of the Public Colloquium of the Angewandte´s Artistic Research PhD Programme (PhD in Art): 5 May, 10 am–6 pm: Presentations by the PhD Candidates (Michael Kargl, Ralo Mayer, Marie-Claude Poulin, Katarina Šoškić, Anna Vasof), preceded on 4th May, 7 pm: Discussion on the topic of “Artistic Research and the PhD Programme“ (with Alexander Damianisch, Nikolaus Gansterer, Barbara Putz-Plecko and guests).
“Publishing in the Context of Artistic Research” is drafted by Nikolaus Gansterer (guest professor at the PhD programme 2016/17). Together with the authors – and on the basis of selected, recently published examples – it will be discussed which hybrid formats and new strategies of publishing are to be developed to adequately present artistic research.

At the Public Colloquium a collection of relevant Artistic Research publications (focus Edition Angewandte) will be on display throughout the whole event, at the evening event also amongst others two new books will be presented: “Drawing a Hypothesis” and “Choreo-graphic Figures”, co-edited by Nikolaus Gansterer.
