At the University of Applied Arts Vienna, the following doctoral programs are established in the scientific field, each with a duration of 6 semesters:

– Docorate studies of philosophy (Dr.phil.)

Workplaces, VZA7

The Zentrum Fokus Forschung has two research project rooms in the university building at Vordere Zollamtsstrasse 7, which can be booked by doctoral students for short and medium-term research projects.

This includes the research project room 001 (ground floor, 55 sqm), which is well suited for meetings and presentations, and the research project room 046 (ground floor, 55 sqm) with several workplaces.

Project proposals

The ZFF is happy to advise doctoral students on applying for third-party funding for projects in terms of content, administration, finance and concept, including expert feedback reading. Project ideas can be sent directly to Alexander Damianisch alexander.damianisch@uni-ak.ac.at – preferably with three suggested dates for a personal feedback.

Publication sponsorship/ARTist – (only applies to alumni of the Angewandte)

ARTist can support publications with a maximum grant of 1,500 Euros. To apply for a publication grant, the following documents must be sent by e-mail to artist@uni-ak.ac.at: Concept of the publication, cost breakdown including estimated cost, curriculum vitae of the submitting graduate, letter of recommendation from a professor at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. After the evaluation you will receive a written acceptance or rejection. In the case of a positive evaluation, a contract for work will be drawn up, and payment of the grant will be arranged upon presentation of 5 specimen copies. Funding requires the logo of the Angewandte and ARTist to be included in the publication.
